Update On Ember Moon's Status After This Week's WWE NXT
Here's what's going on with Ember Moon, who was pulled from NXT this week.
News that Ember Moon had been pulled from this week's episode of NXT sparked concern on Tuesday night. Fortunately, it doesn't sound like the former Women's Champion is dealing with anything too severe.
PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that whatever resulted in Moon not being cleared to compete on the show isn't serious, and that Ember was at the tapings.
Moon was originally booked to face up-and-comer Sarray on NXT. WWE announced she wasn't medically cleared a few hours before going live, with Dakota Kai stepping in to take her place. Kai ended up pinning Sarray to help build momentum for next week's TakeOver 36 clash with Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez.
Tweeting the following after the announcement, Ember referred to the situation as "another pothole in the road":-
.@wwenxt This has been an extremely rough month, I am angry and gutted! I was really looking forward to this match and getting back on track but just got another pothole in the road. I'm sorry! https://t.co/ZcX0hPqII2

Moon hasn't wrestled since the 13 July episode of NXT, on which she lost to Kai. She currently finds herself without clear direction following her tag team partner Shotzi Blackheart's main roster call-up last month. The duo had teamed for much of 2021, but Shotzi is now working with Tegan Nox on SmackDown.
There's currently no word on when Moon will be back on television.
