Update On Launch Of AEW Streaming Service
All Elite Wrestling streaming service edges closer as Tony Khan and TV partners consider deals.
All Elite Wrestling are edging ever closer to their own streaming service, per the most recent update on the situation.
The renewed consideration was confirmed in a Bloomberg profile piece on Tony Khan and the company, with specific notes made about their existing relationship with broadcast partner Warner Brothers Discovery and their possible interests in creating a WWE Network-adjacent offering for Khan's product.
It said (H/T Wrestling Observer);
"AEW is also considering starting a streaming service, likely through a deal with its broadcast partner, Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., according to a person familiar with management’s thinking, who asked not to be named."
Khan has discussed the possibility of such a service for several years, and greatly enhanced the quantity of what could be added to such a thing when he purchased Ring Of Honor and its entire tape library last March. ROH's existing Honor Club service was relaunched in December, but there's every possibility the content would be included alongside the growing archive of Dynamite and Rampage episodes, pay-per-views and presumably YouTube-exclusive shows such as Dark, Dark: Elevation, the "Road To..." series and Being The Elite.
