Update On Plentiful Interest In Major Free Agent
This free agent has interest and offers on the table from several notable promotions.
Having officially departed Major League Wrestling at the turn of the year, EJ Nduka finds himself with interest from several heavy hitters right now.
As per Fightful Select, Nduka has interest from WWE, AEW, and promotions in Japan and Mexico.
In terms of specifics, this report notes how, following a January AEW Dark loss to Konosuke Takeshita, the Judge has been offered a contract by AEW. While Tony Khan may have made this offer, though, Nduka has yet to accept it as he weighs up his options.
Where WWE is concerned, the market leader has made contact with the 34-year-old, but it's unknown how serious their interest is. Likewise, there has been strong interest from Japan and Mexico, with one unnamed Mexican promotion having also made a contract offer to Nduka.
With a background in the college football and bodybuilding, EJ Nduka was previously under the WWE banner from 2019 until 2021. There, he went by the name Ezra Judge on NXT live events, although he didn't have the opportunity to be featured on main NXT television.
Shortly after his May '21 release, it was announced that the 6'8" star - under his real name of EJ Nduka - had signed with Court Bauer's MLW. The powerhouse was immediately presented as a beast in MLW, and the following February saw him and Calvin Tankman defeat 5150's Rivera and Slice Boogie to become the new MLW Tag Team Champions.
Nduka and Tankman dropped those titles to the Samoan SWAT Team's Juice Finau and Lance Anoa'i at the Blood and Thunder PPV this past January once it became clear that EJ had decided against renewing his MLW deal. Prior to that match, Nduka also lost a Last Man Standing offering against MLW World Champion Alex Hammerstone.
Where EJ Nduka ends up next remains to be seen, but the Texas native certainly isn't short of offers and interst.
