A major WrestleMania XL match was at one point discussed for LA Knight.

While all of the WrestleMania XL chatter right now has been dominated by Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, The Rock, and, to a lesser extent, Seth Rollins, there's now somewhat of an update on what may lie ahead at 'Mania for LA Knight.

Speaking on a Q&A mailbag, Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp noted how, at one point, there had been discussions of having Knight face current United States Champion Logan Paul at this year's Showcase of the Immortals.

As Sapp put it when asked directly if Knight vs. Paul could happen at WrestleMania XL:

"That was the plan. I don't know if it still is the plan, but that was discussed at one point."

So, while that's far from confirmation on the Megastar's WrestleMania plans, it at least indicates that WWE was considering a significant spot for him at the Granddaddy of Them All.

Should LA Knight indeed be in action at WrestleMania XL, that will be his first WrestleMania match. Last year, the former Million Dollar Champion was a part of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the SmackDown prior to WrestleMania 39.

Where Logan Paul is concerned, this past Friday's SmackDown saw him defeat The Miz to cement himself a spot in the men's Chamber match at WWE Elimination Chamber next weekend. Of course, LA Knight has also qualified for that match, with the Chamber setting an easy launching point for Paul vs. Knight should WWE indeed opt to head in that direction for WrestleMania XL.
