McMahon's attorney Jessica Rosenberg added;

"We remain confident the evidence will prove Ms. Grant’s allegations are false and her complaint is nothing more than a fabricated, vindictive narrative from a disgruntled former girlfriend."

The investigation from was first reported back in February 2024 by the Wall Street Journal, shortly after McMahon resigned from WWE for a second time in January after the filing of the Grant suit. WSJ also broke the "hush money" stories that resulted in McMahon's first resignation from his long-held post in 2022.
