Former NWA Women’s Champion Thunder Rosa may not be on her way to WWE after all.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer had reported earlier this week that he had been informed Thunder Rosa was heading to Stamford, doing so on the night of her NWA Women’s Championship loss to AEW’s Serena Deeb. Meltzer has now come through with an update, stating he has since been told that there is much work to be done before Rosa signs anywhere, meaning she’ll likely be sticking with the NWA for the foreseeable future.

NWA President Billy Corgan hit Instagram with news that Thunder Rosa is contracted to his organisation through 2021:-

Corgan’s group currently sits dormant, having ceased content production when executive Dave Lagana was implicated in the #SpeakingOut movement in June. They have, however, allowed the likes of Nick Aldis and Thunder Rosa to appear on the UWN’s Primetime Live PPV series, which streams on Tuesday evenings.

Thunder Rosa has appeared for AEW on several occasions in 2020, most notably facing AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida at All Out 2020. Her last AEW bout went down on the 23 September episode of Dynamite, where she teamed with Shida to wrestle Ivelisse and Diamante.
