Will the man behind 'The Italian Stallion' be involved with WrestleMania XL?

Scheduling conflicts could put a stop to any potential Sylvester Stallone plans at WrestleMania 40.

That's according to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, with it being reported that folks within WWE have confirmed to him that the company have been in talks with Sly.

However, despite the original WrestleVotes report of WWE wanting to work with the star behind the Philadelphia icon known as Rocky Balboa being accurate, it was also noted that "Stallone had said there was a schedule conflict". So, with that conflict currently not being removed, the deal hasn't been done.

If said conflict does disappear before 'Mania XL, this wouldn't be the first time Stallone has appeared in the sports entertainment company, with Sly popping up at the 2005 Hall of Fame ceremony to induct Hulk Hogan - who starred alongside Stallone in Rocky III, of course.

WrestleMania XL will go down in the 'Italian Stallion's hometown of Philadelphia on April 6 & 7.

It remains to be seen whether Stallone will be along for that two-night ride.
