Update On WWE's Top Merch Sellers At The Moment
WWE is currently crammed with big names shifting big merchandise numbers.
Some of WWE's biggest and most popular characters are currently shifting "amazing" volumes of merchandise.
Dave Meltzer has reported as much on Wrestling Observer Radio, stating that Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and likely Sami Zayn are "very, very over when it comes to selling merchandise right now."
In general, WWE products are currently flying off the shelves - another indicator that the company is hot at the moment. With attendances, television ratings, and premium live event views all doing well (and in some cases, breaking records), the market leaders are in a good spot as they enter WrestleMania season.
Some of this can be attributed to Peacock's subscriber growth. The platform, which currently broadcasts WWE's premium live events in the United States, grew to over 20 million subscribers in Q4 2022 compared to 15 million in the previous quarter. By comparison, WWE Network had around 1.549 million subscribers before Peacock became the company's US streaming home in 2021.
Of those named earmarked as top merch-shifters, Rhodes and Reigns are expected to headline WrestleMania 39 in an Undisputed WWE Universal Title fight. Zayn, meanwhile, will likely challenge Roman for the same belt at Elimination Chamber 2023 this month. Wyatt's next move after toppling LA Knight at Royal Rumble 2023 is yet to be revealed.
