The Street Profits man was revealed to be wearing a walking boot on his right foot on Monday Night Raw during a backstage verbal joust with The Bloodline. The knock was deemed enough to rule him out of any physical confrontation and force Angelo Dawkins into singles action against Solo Sikoa. As it turns out, this may have all been part of a plan than a situation Ford was actually dealing with.

Fightful Select have been the ones to flag up the potential work, noting that;

We haven't heard if Montez Ford's injury is legitimate or not, but we can confirm that the walking boot was actually brought in by the prop department on Monday.

As stated, the prop boot doesn't confirm for definite that there hadn't been an injury of some form, but its inclusion might have been used for the benefit of the angle.

There was no timeline given for Ford's return to action during the sow, though he didn't feature prominently during the interference-laden match. He last wrestled on a September 24th house show, working alongside Dawkins as The Street Profits defeated Alpha Academy.
