Update: WWE Removes Matt Riddle From All Appearances
Latest on Riddle following launch of internal investigation into allegations.
Following an incident at JFK airport on Sunday, WWE has elected to remove Matt Riddle from scheduled appearances, citing "medical illness" as the reason for an ongoing absence.
This is according to EWrestlingNews, who reported that;
"WWE has taken the decision to remove Matt Riddle from his scheduled appearances following allegations of sexual harassment made against a police officer at JFK airport in New York City on Sunday. The Port Authority is conducting an internal investigation into the matter. WWE has not issued a public statement as of this writing. Riddle will not be appearing at tonight’s RAW or this weekend’s live events in Idaho and Washington, where he had previously been scheduled to perform."
PWInsider added that the internal reason for Riddle being pulled from the various dates was due to "medical illness".
An investigation into allegations made by Matt Riddle on his Instagram account is currently ongoing, after the WWE Superstar took to Instagram with a lengthy (and since-deleted) post about an incident at JFK airport. Expect further updates in the days/weeks ahead pending the outcome of the internal investigation. Riddle was travelling back to the United States following an appearance on WWE's Superstar Spectacle show in India.
