IMPACT Wrestling's Emergence special - which goes down on Friday, 20 August, rather than Saturday, 21 August - now has two matches made official for the event.

Most notable is Josh Alexander defending the X Division Championship against Jake Something. Jake earned his title opportunity by defeating Rohit Raju, Trey Miguel, and Daivari in a corker of a four-way, with his title match later confirmed to be for the next IMPACT Plus special. The match will mark just the second title match in IMPACT for Something, following his unsuccessful bout for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship vs. Moose in February.

It's worth noting that Alexander will face Daivari next Thursday, where if the latter wins, he'll earn a future title match vs. 'The Walking Weapon'. Whether Daivari is added to this match should he win remains to be seen.

Elsewhere, Rich Swann and Willie Mack, as well as Violent By Design's Joe Doering and Rhino, will contend for the Good Brothers' World Tag Team Championships in an essential Slammiversary rematch. The Eric Young-helmed faction will invoke their rematch clause, with Scott D'Amore adding Rich and Willie into the mix, too.

Of course, a Battle Royal on next week's IMPACT will also determine who challenges Kenny Omega for the World Championship.
