Updated Card For WWE NXT TakeOver: Chicago
Bobby Roode vs. Hideo Itami headlines another huge TakeOver card.
NXT TakeOver: Chicago takes place on Saturday, May 20th, and its main event is set in stone.
Having defeating Roderick Strong in a number one contender's match on last night's show, Hideo Itami will challenge Bobby Roode for the NXT Title. This is the first championship match of Itami's NXT career, having spent much of his three-year WWE run on the injury reserve.
Two other title matches were also announced yesterday, with The Authors Of Pain defending their Tag Team Championships in a ladder match with DIY, and Pete Dunne challenging for Tyler Bate's WWE UK Title. The latter was made at last week's UK TV tapings in Norwich, England, during which Dunne defeated Trent Seven to secure number one contendership.
The Women's Title will also be on the line with the dominant Asuka defending against Nikki Cross and Ruby Riot in a Triple Threat. Ember Moon was originally scheduled to compete in the bout, but was forced to withdraw through injury earlier this week.
