JD McDonagh was taken to hospital after last night's WWE Raw.

This is per Bryan Alvarez, who has reported as much. McDongh's ribs - not his neck - are believed to be the main point of concern despite JD taking an ugly bump during the show. There is currently no word on how McDonagh's hospital evaluation went or if he'll be out of action for any time.

McDonagh and partner Dominik Mysterio were wrestling World Tag Team Champions the War Raiders in Raw's opening match. At one point, McDonagh went for a springboard Moonsault off the side of the ring and onto Ivar, but he slipped away from the catcher's arms, causing his head and neck to whiplash back against the announce table (which didn't give a millimetre).

Although McDonagh looked to be in pain afterwards, he could finish the match. Mysterio ended up getting pinned as the War Raiders retained their titles.

War Raiders have been World Tag Team Champions since Raw's 16 December episode, where they dethroned McDonagh and Judgment Day leader Finn Balor. JD and Finn had been champions for 175 days by that point.

McDonagh, 34, is a Balor-trained protege who has been in WWE's ecosystem since the United Kingdom Championship Tournament of January 2017. He became an NXT UK regular upon the brand's launch later that year before dropping his old name, Jordan Devlin, and moving to the United States in 2022. A few months after joining the main roster in 2023, he started a story where Balor slowly started bringing him into The Judgment Day.
