WWE's next big pay-per-view, Backlash 2020, goes down on 14 June, and last night's Raw brought a big new addition to the card.

Nia Jax has emerged as Asuka's first Raw Women's Championship challenger since the Kabuki Warriors member inherited the strap from Becky Lynch in the wake of 'The Man's' pregnancy announcement. Raw saw Jax earned the shot by defeating Natalya and NXT Women's Champion Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat, pinning Nattie following a Samoan Drop.

'The Irresistible Force' had already made an enemy of Asuka, who is now playing babyface. She brutally attacked Asuka's partner, Kairi Sane, whom she had previously destroyed in a Money in the Bank 2020 qualifier, setting the groundwork for the Backlash feud.

Nia returned from long-term injury on Raw's 6 April episode, having missed a full year of action after suffering two torn ACLs. Her presentation prior to this point suggested it wouldn't be long before she was contending for gold again.

Here's how the Backlash lineup currently looks:-
