Updated WWE SummerSlam 2017 Card After Last Night's SmackDown
Several new additions for the August 20th pay-per-view.
WWE SummerSlam 2017 takes place on August 20th, and with just two weeks of television to go, last night's SmackDown brought several new additions to the card.
The show's main event saw Shinsuke Nakamura and John Cena battle for the right to challenge for Jinder Mahal's WWE Championship. 'The King Of Strong Style' was victorious, and will now face 'The Modern Day Maharaja' in Brooklyn.
AJ Styles and Kevin Owens will also clash in their forth United States Title match. The bout was booked following another botched referee finish, with Shane McMahon installing himself as the special guest official for SummerSlam. Rusev and Randy Orton will also contest a singles match, having engaged in a verbal confrontation midway through the show.
Finally, Akira Tozawa will mount another challenge for Neville's Cruiserweight Championship after overcoming Ariya Daivari on 205 Live.
