Velveteen Dream Shoots On WWE's Use Of Legends
Dream takes aim at Hall of Famers in new Twitter rant.
Velveteen Dream might be a relative rookie compared to some of his veteran NXT peers, but no developmental star is as adept at generating buzz for himself, and the 23-year-old prospect was at it again on Twitter over the weekend.
The former Patrick Clark tweeted the following in response to a poll WWE had posted asking fans which Hall of Famer they'd like to see return to the squared circle:-
He then followed up with another soon after:-
What's most surprising about these tweets isn't that Dream posted them in the first place, but that they haven't been deleted yet.
Velveteen is one of NXT's most outspoken stars. He doesn't always toe the company line, and after baiting Hulk Hogan on several occasions throughout 2018 as well as sporting tights emblazoned with "Call me up, Vince" at TakeOver: Brooklyn IV, he knows how to get people talking without getting himself in too much trouble.
Triple H once praised Dream for being "gifted at creating a buzz around himself," and that's exactly what he's doing here. While these tweets may represent his real-life feelings, wrestlers are always working, and Dream is developing into one of the best workers in the business.
