Vince McMahon FIRES WWE Employee After Hall OF Fame Debacle
The reason for the HOF dismissal is INSANE.
WWE's Hall Of Fame 2019 ceremony was a controversial affair primarily for the fan who attacked Bret Hart during the Hart Foundation's induction, but also because Vince McMahon reportedly fired an employee after getting mad during the show.
This is according to Sean Waltman on his X-Pac 12360 podcast. He claims that the issue arose during Hart's speech, though it had nothing to do with the assault.
Instead, Waltman claims that Vince's anger came from the number of times that Bret mentioned him during his spiel, which is something the WWE Chairman is infamously salty about. "I think Bret mentioned Vince a bunch of times," he said. "Vince got really hot. I think somebody might have gotten fired."
Waltman then went on to acknowledge that D-Generation X themselves mentioned McMahon during their induction, but faced no repercussions: "Then we went out and said it a million times and no one got fired. It’s not funny for the guy that lost his job. I’m not kidding. No, I’m not. Vince was p*ssed. I understand. That’s a thing for him. It’s his company and people go out there and they do that,"
A harsh, harsh move, particularly as said employee almost certainly had no control over Hart's speech.
