Vince McMahon Loves Sparkle Crotch
A sparkly crotch is all it takes to make a 71 year old man laugh.
"Sparkle crotch!" Sparkle crotch! Sparkle crotch!"
If it was up to Vince McMahon, this would become the "What?" or the "This is awesome!" chant of today's wrestling world.
The Wrestling Observer has reported that the man who runs WWE was laughing "like a maniac" every time Seth Rollins used the phrase a few weeks ago. This would explain why the former WWE Champion kept saying it over and over on-air when he first delivered the line.
It's only been used a couple of times since that first night, which some backstage find surprising since Vince liked it so much the first time around. It's a phrase that begs the audience to chant along with, but perhaps it didn't catch on like Vince had hoped in subsequent attempts. Maybe Jericho just needs a sparklier crotch to really kick things into overdrive.
Humor is obviously very subjective, and while The Rock would likely get "sparkle crotch" over, no other wrestler on the planet probably could.
It's more of an embarrassing, unfunny line that doesn't sound right coming from the mouth of a 30 year old man. Just try and picture Conor McGregor calling one of his upcoming opponents "sparkle crotch", and imagine how that would affect his cool factor.
