WWE's TLC 2017 card was ravaged by illness last week, with Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt both forced to drop out of high-profile matches.

The company reshuffled the deck, with Kurt Angle slotting into the night's main event, and Finn Balor wrestling AJ Styles instead of Wyatt. The latter was a consensus 'Match Of The Night,' and one of the best bouts WWE have put on all year, but a new report from Pro Wrestling Sheet suggests that this wasn't the only replacement under consideration.

As per the clip, one WWE writer originally pitched an idea that would see AJ and Finn reunite with their former Bullet Club stablemates, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, for a 4-on-4 match, but the idea was shot down by Vince McMahon himself. The Chairman is notorious for disregarding anything that happens outside his company, so while Bullet Club are comfortably the most recognisable (and marketable) stable in wrestling today, Vince wasn't interested.

WWE have continually flirted with BC-esque motifs since the aforementioned quartet arrived signed, with Gallows, Anderson, and Styles uniting as 'The Club' in 2016. Sadly, it looks like a full on reunion may never be on the cards.
