Vince McMahon Upset About End Of Austin/Heyman Podcast

WWE Chairman not happy about something Stone Cold Said.

Steve Austin was not trying to set up a WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar when he had Paul Heyman on his WWE Network podcast last week. Furthermore, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon is upset that Austin even suggested it and wanted the story to die out as quickly as possible, according to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer. We noted yesterday that Austin went on his podcast on Tuesday to clarify that he wasn't trying to setup a dream match against Lesnar. According to Meltzer's report, McMahon wasn't happy with how the podcast ended because there are no plans for an Austin vs. Lesnar match. Apparently McMahon had no idea that Heyman and Austin were going to end the podcast with Heyman asking Austin if he would face Lesnar. Austin admitted on his podcast that he didn't know that kind of question was coming from Heyman either. In another note about the podcast, when Austin was brought back to do more podcasts the idea from management was that they wanted the podcasts to be less of an inside thing and feature more conversational dialogue like with the guest telling road stories like Heyman did.
