Vince McMahon's 20 Biggest Real-Life Feuds

Undoubtedly, the fiercest and most sobering feud of not only Vince McMahon's career, but his life, came in 1993 when he was indicted by the United States federal government. Faced with prison time and the possibility of losing control of his wrestling empire, McMahon was accused of distributing anabolic steroids to his contracted wrestlers that performed as part of the World Wrestling Federation. Two former talents in particular were called to testify on behalf of the prosecution that had a huge impact on the trial: former superstars Nailz and Hulk Hogan. In 1992 after being disappointed with his SummerSlam payoff check, Kevin Wacholz (aka Nailz) assaulted Vince McMahon by choking him in his office and later claimed that Vince sexually assaulted him. Wacholz's testimony did more to hurt the prosecution when he revealed his hatred for Vince McMahon which, to the jurors, had to come off as biased. Hogan was a key witness of the trial as well and, despite being called by the prosecution, stated that McMahon never once sold him or forced him to take any steroids. McMahon was acquitted of the charges and scored the victory in the biggest fight of his life. McMahon wears the victory as a badge of honor likely for many reasons, but two in particular. One, despite having taken steroids himself and preferring his superstars to be "larger than life", McMahon did not distribute any steroids to his talents which is what he was on trial for. Secondly, it's not every day that an individual, even one with the financial resources of Vince McMahon in 1994, takes on the US federal government and wins.
