Vince McMahon's Brother Roderick Passes Away At 77
Details on the passing of Roderick McMahon III, Vince McMahon's only brother.
Vince McMahon's only sibling, Roderick 'Rod' McMahon III, passed away last Wednesday (20 January). He was 77 years old.
The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer has stated that the cause of death is currently unknown.
Born on 12 October 1943, Roderick opted against following his grandfather, Jesse McMahon, father, Vince McMahon Sr., or younger brother, Vince McMahon Jr., in entering the wrestling business. The Long Island-born Rod instead joined the US Air force after graduating from Memphis State University with a Bachelor of Business degree and met his wife, Jamice, while stated in Germany.
Married in November 1967, Rod and Jamice went on to found a company called American Metals Inc. exactly 20 years later, which remains in operation today. His passions outside of work included his family, his friends, dogs, shooting-based sports, and the support of local law enforcement efforts.
Described as a "leader, mentor, counsellor, and most important a friend to all" in his Legacy.com obituary, Rod is survived by Jamice, sons Troy and Rome, and various grandchildren.
