Was Liv Morgan Going To Be WWE's 'Sister Abigail'?
Or was it just fanfic?
Ahead of Liv Morgan's return to WWE programming last November, rumours abound on the internet - as they do for just about every returning female superstar - that she'd come back repackaged as Bray Wyatt's mythical 'Sister Abigail'.
Obviously, that didn't happen, and nearly a year hence, she remains in a relatively familiar role as part of the pared-down Riott Squad. The Sister Abigail talk has since moved on, with Alexa Bliss now being the preferred candidate, for no other reason that the spectres of the past which haunted Braun Strowman during his Swamp Fight with Wyatt.
But was Morgan ever seriously considered for the role, or was it mere social media speculation based on some inviting Photoshops? (Though to be fair, the woman in question made a cryptic Tweet hinting at the possibility.)
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda, the New Jersey performer revealed all:
"I think it's very flattering fanfiction. I was never, you know, respectfully, hoping to be Sister Abigail. I was never pushing to be Sister Abigail," Morgan told Rick Ucchino.
About the curious Tweet, Morgan stated she was having "all these thoughts and emotions" and "trying to let people know without literally saying it." Ultimately, she concluded that fans "wanted me to return so bad", and in doing so, let their speculation run wild.
