AEW comeback king Kenny Omega wrestled his first match in over nine months on last night's Dynamite, teaming with The Young Bucks to defeat La Faccion Ingobernable in a World Trios Championship Tournament first-rounder.

It was Kenny's first AEW appearance since taking time off to heal multiple ailments in November 2021. He stayed active after the broadcast had finished, too, as the reformed Elite saved Dragon Lee, who had just been turned on by Andrade El Idolo and Rush after taking the decisive pinfall (per PWInsider).

AEW has now uploaded footage of Omega cutting a post-show promo in Charleston, West Virginia:-

The clip features 'The Cleaner' saying that a gruelling recovery process had left him wondering if he'd ever be able to compete at the highest level again. Omega stated that catching up with The Young Bucks will take time, let alone challenging for singles gold, but he is happy that people are with him for the journey.

Though his words resonated as those of a babyface, Kenny said that he wasn't there to play a good guy. He and The Elite are going to give the audience a "smorgasbord of wrestling." Regardless of medical advice, you are going to get Kenny Omega.

Following their victory, The Elite now advance to face the winner of United Empire and Death Triangle in the ongoing Trios World Championship Tournament.
