WWE's Aleister Black told the New York Post that he's appreciative of the creative team's patience when it comes to building his character up slowly on Monday Night Raw.

Black admitted that such patience does often go "hand in hand with a little bit of frustration, because sometimes you want to go faster than what they’re allowing you to", but noted that WWE are doing a bang up job of presenting him properly.

Basically, he's thankful that they're not rushing his development, forcing his relationship with the audience or shoe-horning him into angles with his real-life wife Zelina Vega for the sake of it; on that, Black said he thinks the "outside world is more fascinated" by the thought of both lovers working against one another rather than together.

Fair point.

Black is also determined to protect his 'Black Mass' finisher. He doesn't like the thought of countless wrestlers kicking out of it, and he wants the move to become something fans look forward to.

Though his character previously went through a bit of a slump (those endless "pick a fight with meeeeee" promos were hardly thrilling), Black is someone who has a bright future in WWE. Fingers crossed they pull the trigger on a main event run when the time is right.
