In October 2019, WWE's 'Prince' returned to the brand he helped make famous in October. He became NXT Champion for a second time this week, defeating Adam Cole to score the vacant belt more than five years after first winning it. Now, he calls moving back to NXT "definitely the right move."

"I think a lot of people questioned by reason or logic behind it," Balor said. "For me, I want to challenge myself every night in the ring, and it felt like on Raw and SmackDown I'd put it into cruise control and was just coasting along. I wanted a fresh challenge against fresh faces, people I wasn't used to wrestling with."

Finn added that looking at all the new match possibilities in NXT "reignited that spark for me," adding that while he never lost his passion for the business, he was "a little burnt out" after his main roster run.

The NXT Champion also commented on his popular 'Demon' character, saying that it wasn't suited to Raw and SmackDown's fast-moving environment. "We should have handled it better," he said.
