New Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns will reveal his next move on this Friday's episode of SmackDown.

This follows last night's Raw, which saw Reigns make a special appearance alongside Bloodline allies The Usos and Paul Heyman to close the show. Roman, who defeated Brock Lesnar to unify his Universal Title with the WWE Title at WrestleMania 38, said that as a "progressive 'Tribal Chief'", he was moving on from Lesnar, adding that the world would learn what's next for him on SmackDown.

Brock was not on the show himself.

The ambiguity of Reigns' Raw promo is particularly interesting, given talk that he may have been injured while competing on WrestleMania 38's second night. While confirmation of his physical status is yet to emerge, losing the Undisputed Universal Champion for any length of time would be a huge blow to WWE, who have spent the past couple of years building their entire creative universe with Reigns at the centre.

Roman, who hasn't been pinned or submitted in singles competition in over two years, has held a top championship in WWE since defeating 'The Fiend' Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman to become Universal Champion in August 2020.
