They're certainly animated enough (sorry)!

Lucha Central broke the news that WWE legend Rey Mysterio is set to star in his own animated cartoon series.

The show will air exclusively on Cartoon Network Latin America, and was announced during an unadvertised panel at 2020 PixelatlFestiva's 'Cartoon Network Day'. The show, rather fittingly, will also be called 'Rey Mysterio'.

Simplicity counts, folks.

Here's a synopsis for Rey's very own cartoon:

"Rey Mysterio will tell the story of the most iconic luchador, a figure admired by all and star of the ring, but will also delve into a great secret. Unimaginable forces threaten our world, and he will be a fundamental part of that fight. When Rey's number one fan discovers this secret, they will immerse themselves together in a world where the excitement and adrenaline of wrestling coexists with mystery, mythology, history, magic and supernatural beings".

Mysterio told the press at PixelatlFestiva that he was "immediately captivated" by the concept, and that it's been a hidden dream of his to star in toons for a while. Rey is also hopeful that the show will properly represent his Mexican heritage.

There's no news on a concrete launch date for the cartoon yet, but stay 'tooned'.

Right, that's plenty.
