Which Of This Week's WWE Raw Segments Was The Lowest-Rated In History?
WWE Raw closed on an all-time low on 27 April.
Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins partook in an official contract signing for their WWE Championship match at Money In The Bank 2020 in the closing segment of this week's episode of Raw - and it was a certified ratings bomb.
Per this week's quarter-hour breakdowns, a paltry 1.539 million tuned in to the 27 April Raw as it went off the air, making Rollins and McIntyre's segment the lowest-rated in red brand history. The record was previously held by Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman's in-ring promo on the WrestleMania 36 go-home episode, coming in at 1.574 million.
Interestingly, the most-watched thing on the entire show was Bobby Lashley's dominant squash of NXT wrestler Denzel Dejournette. This was one of only a handful of segments that actually gained viewers, with the bulk of them posting declines. The video package highlighting Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch one of the most notable ratings losers.
Recent weeks had seen Raw's typical third-hour viewership drop-off ease up a little, though things returned to normal this week. Getting through a three-hour wrestling show is hard, particularly without fans, and it's hard to see things improving until the noise returns.
