Big E debuted some new entrance music on last night's episode of SmackDown.

The WWE man's new track was penned by Wale, and the former (or current; WWE hasn't exactly made it crystal clear whether or not the group are actually through for good) New Day member even brought back his old 'chalk' routine for the grand occasion.

That was a heavy hint from E that he's fully-focused on solo action - he used to chalk up his hands as a singles star on NXT, and he brought that act with him to the main roster in 2012 before forming New Day. Since then though, he's been busy with pancakes, breakfast cereal and hip gyrations, but the chalk is back.

The next step in E's evolution might be changing his ring attire. He still wore the old New Day singlet on SmackDown for a six-man tag-team effort. That could easily change over the next few weeks as his singles run gathers pace.

Look out for E's new theme on YouTube and WWE's official Spotify page. It looks like the New Day theme will be used exclusively for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods over on Raw.
