Two wrestlers who lost qualifying matches for WWE Money in the Bank won "last chance" matches Monday night to secure spots in the men's and women's ladder matches this Saturday.

Riddle, who lost last week to Omos, won a battle royal to open Raw, last eliminating the Miz, who feigned an injury to try to gain an upper hand. The field also included AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Veer Mahaan, Rey Mysterio and Mustafa Ali. In the end, Miz deviously pulled AJ off the apron to eliminate him, then tried to toss Riddle. A battle ensued, which ended with Riddle hitting an RKO on the apron to put Miz out.

If he were to win, the briefcase could give Riddle a loophole to exploit after losing a couple weeks ago to Roman Reigns in a world title match that carried the added stipulation that he could never challenge Roman for the title again.

On the women's side, Becky Lynch surprisingly had a reversal of fortune, winning a six-woman elimination match that saw her eliminate three of her opponents en route to earning her spot in MITB. Lynch pinned Xia Li, tapped out Nikki ASH and then pinned Doudrop, who had accounted for the other two eliminations (Shayna Baszler and Tamina). Lynch had lost a qualifying match to Asuka last week.

Although both bouts were billed as "last chance" matches for MITB, there still is one spot to fill for the men's ladder match. Setting that lack of logic aside, it remains to be seen how that spot is filled. (Stop thinking Cody Rhodes is entering with his shoulder taped up!)
