Why Naomi Hasn't Been On WWE Television Lately
Naomi's absence from WWE television could be tied to The Usos.
Former SmackDown Women's Champion Naomi hasn't wrestled on WWE television since the 22 July episode of Main Event, on which she lost to Sarah Logan.
Taken off the road for reported family reasons and a personal health scare, Naomi was reportedly omitted from October's WWE Draft as creative had nothing for her (per Dave Meltzer), with no return date given at the time. Now, it looks like her absence could be tied to husband Jimmy Uso.
According to Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE haven't brought Naomi back because they are still keeping The Usos away from TV. This suggests that the promotion see them as a triple act going forward.
The Usos were pulled from television during the same month as Naomi when Jimmy was arrested on a DUI. Their return has been constantly rumoured since, though the duo are yet to re-emerge on WWE television. There's currently no word on when we'll see them next.
WWE.com currently has Naomi and The Usos assigned to Raw. One would assume that this is where they'll eventually return to, though the promotion could conceivably throw them over to SmackDown.
