Mia Yim was set to debut on the latest edition of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX.

The former NXT star hasn't wrestled a match on WWE television since losing to Nikki Cross on an episode of Main Event in December 2020. However, recent reports suggested that the wrestler now known as Reckoning had been moved over to SmackDown. Despite being a member of the brand for coming up to a month, though, Yim has yet to appear on Friday nights.

That was set to change this week as Ringside News are reporting that she was actually backstage for this week's "Throwback" SmackDown, gearing up for her official debut on the brand. Sadly, this appearance never came to pass and "it got pushed to another week." This change of plans could be attributed to the fact WWE were short-staffed for this week's show. Bruce Prichard most notably wasn't present for the episode.

At this time, PWInsider have also added that it's not known whether Yim will debut as her former NXT self or under her RETRIBUTION moniker of Reckoning. Fingers crossed we see the star show up on next week's SmackDown as the blue brand's division would massively benefit from a talent of her calibre.
