Vince McMahon has been saying stuff again.

"Where the hell have you been?" we all shouted as the Q2 investor call kicked off with the boss and his latest consigliere Nick Khan, all in unison and all with identical intonation as the Chairman himself when he opened up the first SmackDown with a live audience since March 2020.

There, his brusk welcome was the perfect marriage of the ancient kayfabe character Mr McMahon and the even more insane plain old Vince beneath the suit. Here, we wanted some of his takes following a blockbuster week for the wrestling news sphere that trended heavily towards a 12-18 month period of perception warfare between the established industry standard and a two year start-up that's matured faster than Shane McMahon himself.

But enough about the 'Boy Wonder' because his Da's really been saying stuff. Quite remarkable stuff. AEW stuff. Wrestling-industry-is-changing-and-he-wants-to-pretend-it-isn't-changing stuff. Before hitting his specific comments though, it's probably worth taking this post-pandemic era opportunity to take the temperature of the man himself. To understand where the man's head might be at is to understand why those strange noises come out of it every once in a while.
