Why Will Ospreay Is Being A "C***" To Kenny Omega
Will Ospreay's NJPW vs. AEW social media beef with Kenny Omega continues.
The social media feud between soon-to-return AEW star Kenny Omega and NJPW's Will Ospreay continued this week, with the latter explaining why, in his own words, he has been a "c***" to his Canadian counterpart.
This stemmed from footage of Will Ospreay wrestling Mad Kurt at RevPro's Live in London 63 event on 3 July. A clip of Ospreay hitting Kurt with Kenny's much-protected finisher, the One Winged Angel, then pulling his opponent's arm up to simulate a kickout (before throwing a faux freakout) started doing the Twitter rounds on Monday.
No wrestler has earnestly kicked out of Kenny's finisher since Kota Ibushi in 2012. Omega caught the clip, said he didn't get it and called Ospreay "childish."

In response, Will said that when somebody is a "c***" to him, he'll be an even bigger one in return, hence the One Winged Angel.

Ospreay and Omega have been going back and forth across various platforms for several weeks now. Earlier this month, the IWGP United States Champion tore into Kenny, calling him "f*cking fragile" in a lengthy rant as part of a Wrestle Inn interview. This followed Omega telling Fightful that Ospreay was "great at moves and has a list of 20 very forgettable five-star matches."
Sidelined since November 2021, Kenny's AEW comeback is now expected to be on the near horizon.
