Timing issues led to WWE pulling the plug on its original plans for the Becky Lynch vs. Bayley cage match on Monday's special 30th-anniversary episode of Raw.

As was pre-advertised, Bayley and Lynch were to settle their long-running rivalry between four steel walls at Raw XXX, though the bout didn't end up happening. Bayley's Damage CTRL stable jumped Lynch before she could get in the ring. This prevented the contest from ever getting started, with Bayley, Dakota Kai, and IYO SKY beating 'The Man' up instead, locking the cage door before authority figure Adam Pearce could cut it and break things up.

As reported by Fightful Select, the cage match and its ring entrances were supposed to encompass two Raw XXX segments. Unfortunately, the Bloodline's trial of Sami Zayn segment ended up running long earlier in the night, necessitating trimming elsewhere in the show. Bayley vs. Lynch was the most heavily-impacted segment.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson has reported similarly, stating that the Bloodline's Tribal Court running "extremely long" led to WWE bypassing the cage match and heading straight to the angle instead.

Damage CTRL celebrated as a downed Lynch was tended two by officials as the segment closed. The feud continues.
