Will Bully Ray Return To WWE After TNA Split?
Bully Ray is not gone from TNA yet, but may be headed to WWE soon.
Previous reports shockingly indicated that Bully Ray and TNA Wrestling had split from each other. It was thought that the relationship had already been severed. However, new reports claim that the two may still be working together for the time being. During a meeting held with the TNA locker room during a live event this past Sunday, August 17th, Ray was said to be saying his goodbyes. However, it seems that nothing was stated about the former TNA Champion being gone from that moment. Instead, it seems that Bully Ray gave the impression that he was soon to be leaving and wanted to inform the locker room. Furthermore, its believed that once Ray is gone from TNA, he will likely never return. That then begs the question, will the former Bubba Ray return to the WWE? If Ray is to be believed, then yes, its a likely possibility. While doing promotional work back in June for TNA Wrestling and their NYC television tapings, Ray was asked if he would ever consider a return to WWE. Ray stated, in no uncertain terms, that if given the opportunity, he would return to the greener pastures of WWE in a heartbeat. While nothing has been stated officially, logic would indicate that this proclamation may have dampened the negotiations between Ray and TNA. As previously reported, the split seems to stem from the fact that TNA and Bully Ray could not come to terms on a new agreement. Its still unclear at this time what those terms were, but the issue was most likely either money or schedule. This situation is similar to what happened with AJ Styles, who by all indications was willing to stick with TNA, but again the two parties were unable to come to an agreement. AJ has gone on to have great success in New Japan Pro Wrestling since leaving the TNA organization -- even becoming the reigning IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Its further speculated that TNA may be in for more trouble, as reportedly more talent contracts will be coming to an end in the next few weeks. Obviously, TNA will be looking to negotiate new deals with many of these talents -- specific names have not been given. However, with their television deal in jeopardy, TNA may not have the resources they once did for talent deals. Moreover, some competitors may be considering leaving the company as well, perhaps seeing the writing on the wall with all of TNA Wrestlings current problems. Will Bully Ray return to WWE in the near future? And will TNA soon see a mass exodus of talent? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
