Will Ospreay Shatters Tooth Days Before Wrestle Kingdom 13

Amazing it took this long.

Just five days away from New Japan's annual 4 January blow-off, Will Ospreay has ruined his big school photo by shattering his tooth - and he posted a splendidly graphic picture of it on Instagram (or should that be 'Inthtagram'?).

The injury presumably occurred during last night's PROGRESS Chapter 82 show at London's Electric Ballroom (brilliantly subtitled after Half Man Half Biscuit's 'All I Want for Christmas is a Dukla Prague Away Kit'). Ospreay, alongside great mate Paul Robinson, defeated Kyle Fletcher and Mark Davis for the group's tag team championships - but apparently at the cost of one of his front teeth. Too bad Christmas has just been and gone!

Given Ospreay's exhilarating high-risk, high-flying, often face-first style, it's quite the marvel it has taken until now for him to incur an incisor injury.

Ospreay is set to face off with NEVER Openweight champ Kota Ibushi at the Tokyo Dome this Friday. Obviously, his dental disaster won't be enough to rule him out of the contest - but he may be sporting a brand new mouth guard as part of his attire.
