William Regal has been forced to withdraw from NXT's tour of the UK to take care of some final details regarding his recent neck surgery. The General Manager will return to the United States and will miss tonight's TakeOver special in London. The King of the Ring winner has had long standing neck problems dating way back to 1993 when he was in WCW. Last year, Regal went under the knife and had some much need surgery that saw him receive treatment to his C3, C4, C5 and C6 vertebrae. He broke the news via a couple of tweets last night: https://twitter.com/RealKingRegal/status/676854909342490624 https://twitter.com/RealKingRegal/status/676855572306751488 Regal had been making appearances at all of NXT's shows in Britain. He would come out half way through the show and lap up the applause of the crowd. He would then say that it wasn't about him but the Superstars in the back, exclaim "WE ARE NXT" and then head to the back. William had also been performing on his own one man show while over in England, completing a show in Newcastle before he was due to be in Nottingham tomorrow (Thursday) evening. The Nottingham show has now been cancelled. Regal's absence will be a blow to TakeOver with it being in London. There's little doubting that he would have played some part in the show so garner some sort of 'cheap pop' from the crowd at Wembley Arena.
