WrestleMania 35 Main Event To Be "Winner Takes All"
One of Lynch, Flair, and Rousey will leave New York with TWO titles.
Both Ronda Rousey's Raw Women's Championship and Charlotte Flair's newly-won SmackDown belt will be on the line in this year's Triple Threat WrestleMania main event, as announced by Stephanie McMahon on last night's Raw.
Steph opened the show in the ring. She wasted little time in making the expected statement, and, after teasing adding herself to the bout to make it a Fatal Four-Way, she broke the news that "all titles will be on the line," meaning that whoever scores the decisive pinfall or submission will leave with both belts on their shoulder.
This is a slight twist on what many had expected, with several media sources reporting that the stipulation would dictate that Rousey or Flair would only lose their championship if they took the decisive fall. Instead, it's "Winner Takes All," meaning that at least one title change is guaranteed.
There's currently no implication that WWE plan on unifying the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships. Instead, one of Flair, Rousey, and Becky Lynch will leave WrestleMania 35 as WWE's undisputed alpha female, with the stipulation ruling out the possibility of a Four Horsewomen "curtain call" too. A shame, but it sounds like WWE have something bigger afoot.
