The Shawn Michaels versus Kurt Angle match at WrestleMania 21 was one of the most anticipated bouts of the April 2005 event and it was because of the stellar build. Part of that build included the return of Marty Jannetty. The former WWE Tag Team and Intercontinental champion had a stellar match against Angle and many thought that would be his one and only match. On the March 14 episode of Raw, fans were treated to a one night only return of one of the company's greatest tag teams. The Atlanta crowd erupted as Michaels and Jannetty hit the ring with their trademark entrance music. It was the first time in 14 years that the team had competed in a match. Their opponents? The extremely over La Resistance duo comprised of Rob Conway and Sylvain Grenier. The heels were very solid workers and provided the perfect opposition for the old school tandem. The babyfaces won the match, which was a very competitive nine-plus minute contest, and celebrated one last go-round in a WWE ring. For those who grew up watching the product in the late 80s and early 90s, it was a glance back into their childhoods. For a new generation of fans, it was a glimpse of what was the norm in the heyday of tag team wrestling nearly two decades earlier.
