In the world of professional wrestling, the main story is almost always the good guy vs. the bad guy. It works, but let's face it, if every match was one on one, it would get boring very quickly. Tag matches allow more variety, while still holding to the formula with multiple good guys vs multiple bad guys, as well as more one on one diversity. Gimmick tag matches, specifically ones involving tables, ladders, and even chairs (or all of them at once, oh my) are some of the most famous and most physical matches wrestling fans have ever seen.
