WWE: 10 Best Title Belt Designs In The History Of Wrestling

1. TNA World Heavyweight Championship

Introduced in 2007, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship original belt design is my favorite pro wrestling championship, ever.

It's gold and silver, 2 of my favorite combinations. It's from the same vein as the Winged Eagle title, with the wings coming out, the eagle itself looks huge and incredibly modern, and I believe that this title would have been perfect for the WWE following the Undisputed title, going back to the Winged Eagle belt, but making it more modern and ultra sexy.

It may be more silver looking here, but up close the gold just shines through. Another huge plus for me with this belt is the lack of name plate. None of the major TNA belts have them, and that's why 3 of them are on this list. Like the TNA World Tag Team Championships, the belt itself is huge, and I imagine, incredibly heavy, so you would need to have been a champion to even lift this belt. The strap is massive again, reminding me of belts that weight lifters would wear. When thinking of the ultimate World Championship, most people would imagine something like this.

My point about the gold shinning through come across here, and the inclusion of the silver makes the gold look alot less harsh that it ordinarily would, and you can see how huge the strap is here, due to the fact that the wings from the eagle are still covered by the strap.

And they buckled bits at the side of the center plate, dunno what use they have, but they add something to this title. Everything included in this belt adds to it, it's the ultimate world title belt for me. However, TNA have changed the design of the title belt. It was changed in 2011 and has stayed the same since.

This is the new title belt for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

From my own experience and thoughts, I think this is TNA's way of challenging the Big Gold belt, and releasing a version of their own to rival it. Personally, I think the original World Heavyweight Championship belt is much nicer than this, but even this belt has its charm and would rank highly in another top 10, but the original was much to nice to leave out or share the spot light. But this design is worth an honorable mention.

So what does this list prove? That WWE's attitude era had the best WWF Championship and World Tag Team Championships in the company's history, that the ECW Heavyweight Championship was perfect for it's cause. WCW had some great titles in it's run, and TNA is currently leading the way in title belt design. Let's hope the best batch of Championships are as good as some of these gems.
