But who needs laws when one has a heated, personal rivalry with another Superstar and the only suitable way to settle it is in a Buried Alive match, where the loser is the competitor who is buried alive in a six-foot hole, under tons of dirt? A popular gimmick match since its inception in 1996 thanks to the rarity with which it is used, that still does not make up for the fact that one man is essentially trying to kill his opponent. It absolutely not okay to bury another human being alive. Perhaps the more family-friendly direction WWE has taken over the last five years has resulted in the disappearance of the match or maybe the company opted not to pay the ungodly amount of money it must cost to rent all of the equipment for the match.
