WWE: 10 Longest Tenured Employees

By Andrew Soucek /

1 Howard Finkel

WWE Tenure: 38+ Years Yep, the longest tenured employee in the entire WWE is Howard Finkel. The Fink actually goes back so far in the WWE that he was hired by Vince McMahon Sr. when the company was still known as the World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF). While he's played many roles behind the scenes over the years, it will be his work as an announcer that will be remembered most fondly. Finkel's voice has become iconic to wrestling fans, and the way he announced a "new" champion will never be forgotten. Unfortunately, in 1999, Finkel was replaced by Lillian Garcia as the lead ring announcer of Raw. Sure, Lillian is good at her job, but there's only one Fink. You can probably imagine that image had something to do with the transition. Finkel still remained with the company despite the demotion, and still remains employed as an ambassador. Memorably, he returned as an announcer for one night at Survivor Series 2011 as CM Punk's "personal ring announcer." It's too bad that it didn't turn into a full time gig, as it would be nice to have had more of him these past 38 years, but we'll take a dose of The Fink whenever we can get it.
