Demolition first formed in 1987 as a tag team, but by 1990 they added Crush to Ax and Smash to make them a trio of Superstars who were WWE's answer to The Road Warriors. There were a lot of similarities between the two teams. The rock theme, face paint and stiff style were a few of the biggest similarities, but there were plenty more. Demolition won titles in multiple promotions, but their greatest success was in WWE where they gained three tag titles during their run.Demolition helped WWE usher in their Rock 'n Wrestling era in the '80s and carried it through to the early '90s before the New Generation era took over. Fans from that time have fond memories of their feuds with The Road Warriors, The Rockers and Powers of Pain.
