The Fabulous Freebirds were a trio consisting of Terry Gordy, Buddy Roberts and Michael Hayes. They wrestled in every big promotions throughout the '80s and '90s, but their most success came in WCCW during their legendary feud with the Von Erich Family. The Freebirds and The Von Erichs had a brutal, bloody feud that saw just about every member of the family come in to help fight The Freebirds. They are also known for having developed "The Freebird rule" where they could cycle the tag team titles between all three members of the group instead of just the two who won the belts.An entire DVD could be produced about The Freebirds, and WWE may do that someday, but for now we can go back and watch them on the WWE Network and see what an influential team they truly were.
