WWE: 10 Outsider Bets To Be Mr Money In The Bank

By Anthony Ruggiero /

WWE Money In the Bank has become one of the more must-watch pay-per-views over the last few years. It is one of the only nights where fans genuinely don't know who is going to be victorious and pull down that briefcase and become the new Mr. Money In The Bank. There is the feeling that anything can happen and your favorite WWE superstar can take that jump into the WWE World Heavyweight Championship picture. Once the winner is declared, each time the incumbent WWE Champion is at his weakest, fans wait for the new briefcase holder's music to hit and cash in. There are plenty of deserving candidates to pull down that briefcase. History has shown the odds are in your favor to be the next champion. 12 of the 14 previous winners have gone on to cash in successfully, with the most recently, Randy Orton cashing in on the now WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan at Summerslam. This year, there is a plethora of mid-card talent that are in the running to surprise us all and win the ladder match. From former winners to upstart rookies, read on to discover the ten outside bets to be the 2014 Money in the Bank Winner, and possibly, the next WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

10. Alberto Del Rio

Del Rio holds the honor, to the dismay of Dolph Ziggler fans everywhere, to be the first person to qualify for the Money In The Bank match. Del Rio qualified on the June 2 episode of Raw after getting Ziggler to tap out to the cross arm breaker. The 2011 winner went to go on and cash in successfully against CM Punk at that years Summerslam. A win for Del Rio puts him back in title contention after being away for quite sometime. Crowd reactions haven't been kind to Del Rio as his character has become a bit stagnant as of late. Del Rio would become the third two-time Money In the Bank Winner (if you count Edge winning the case from Mr. Kennedy) joining the man he beat at Summerslam and now retired CM Punk. The arrogance Del Rio displayed with his expensive rides and Ricardo Rodriguez as his personal announcer would come back with that briefcase in his hands.
