The post-WrestleMania season in WWE is often times a difficult one. It's the time of year when WWE tries to transition from the busiest time of year to a period where fans may tune out of WWE a bit, but those of us that are diehards are here for the long haul. This Sunday's Extreme Rules event is built on the strength of the top three matches as The Shield battles Evolution, Daniel Bryan defends the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Kane and John Cena has to deal with Bray Wyatt inside of the ominous Steel Cage. There are other matches on the show, but the card is all about those top three matches. If they all get time they should be great. The weird thing about Extreme Rules is that in past years they made it a point to have stipulations on a lot of the matches, but this year they cut back on them. Two of the three major matches have them and so does the "WeeLC" match between Hornswoggle and El Torito. That's a joke match obviously. However, it's a bit disconcerting that they get to be on a PPV even on a pre-show when so many deserving talents are doing nothing. That's WWE, though. They love the feud between the little people right now. It's all about entertaining the kids. Like we do every weekend, it's Q&A time here at WhatCulture.
