WWE: 10 Reasons Why 2014 Can Be The Best Year Ever

By John Canton /

The current state of World Wrestling Entertainment is one of optimism. With WWE's stock at an all time high, the launch of WWE Network last month, the positive fan reaction to this past Monday's "Occupy Raw" segment, hot crowds in most cities and the overall feel of the product right now, there's a chance that 2014 could be an amazing year for WWE. It could even be the best year in WWE history. It's fair to say that 2014 didn't start that way, at least at the end of January. Wrestling fans were angry that Batista won the Royal Rumble while fan favorite Daniel Bryan wasn't even in the match. Add in the fact that the next day CM Punk walked out on WWE without any indication if he would ever come back. Here we are six weeks later, Daniel Bryan is in the spot we all hoped he would be in and WrestleMania is shaping up nicely. Wrestling fans tend to focus on the negative too much. Even if Bryan wins the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania and gives us that memorable moment, some fans are only going to wonder when he's going to lose it, to who and then complain that it didn't last long enough. What's important is that we enjoy those happy moments when they happen because if you're only focusing on the bad things why watch in the first place? When discussing the best years in WWE history, 2000 is the first one that comes to mind. It was a year full of excellent PPVs, a very deep roster that may have been the best WWE ever had and some top of the line matches too. While it will be hard for WWE to top that year, they have the potential to do. Here are 10 reasons why 2014 can be WWE's best year ever.
